Site work for a mixed-use development in Effingham, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION Project consists of site improvements including all associated work at Effingham Jr. High School, Central Grade School and East Side Elementary School. It is recommended that only one representative from each bidding entity attend the bid opening to assist in social distancing. All attendees shall adhere to the social distancing guidelines per the CD C or the State of Illinois. Bids will be based on a single lump sum general construction contract. Bids shall include not less than the Prevailing hourly wage rate determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. Contract documents may be obtained electronically from the office of FGM Architects, 475 Regency Park, Suite 325, O'Fallon, Illinois 62269. Sets will be mailed to applicants from Snow Printing for an additional flat handling-and-mailing charge of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per set, for which a separate check shall be issued, payable to Snow Printing. Charge is not refundable. Contractors may obtain up to two (2) copies of contract documents. BID STIPULATIONS Bid Security is required in the amount of Ten percent (10%) of Proposal, made payable unconditionally to the Owner. Security shall be certified check, cashier's check or bid bond issued by surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Within ten (10) days after notification of award of contract, the successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder using a form similar to the AIA 312 Form, or one acceptable to Owner.The Performance Bond will become a part of the Contract. The failure of the successful bidder to enter into contract and supply the required bond and Certificates of Insurance within ten (10) days after the prescribed forms are presented for signature, or within such extended period as the Owner may grant, shall constitute a default. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and irregularities in any bid, or to make awards in the best interests of the Owner Construction Duration June 1, 2022 August 5, 2022
