Plans call to reduce flood damage along creeks in the Omaha metro area. Included are two dams, construction of a levee/flood wall along the Little Papillion Creek in central Omaha, elevating or flood proofing some homes and businesses, and erecting flood gates at several creek crossings. As of April 27, 2022, the Army Corps of Engineers recommend that Congress approve $144 Million for DAM projects. It is currently unknown what approvals have been obtained.
