Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Haw River, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
a. Access to property will be entirely form Ruby Lane. b. This project includes approximately 1800 LF of natural trail (See note 11). The project starts at southern end of Ruby Lane and terminates at existing Haw River Trail. (See itemized proposal) i. Minimal Concrete removal and installation at Ruby Lane ii. Clear a space approximately 12 inch wide; shred vegetation in place (See note 12). iii. Place surge stone & overlay with smaller (57) stone at two channel crossing locations No Bid Bond shall be required for the submission of a proposal to the City of Burlington. A separate Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price will be required, using the enclosed forms. Withdrawal of any proposal not in compliance or as allowed within the terms and specifications herein shall cause future submissions to the City of Burlington to be considered non-responsive and non-competitive and be rejected with cause. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The contract to be awarded for the proposed work may be extended up to fifty (50%) percent of the contract price without consent and permission of the contractor, and an additional fifty (50%) with the consent and permission of the contractor. This extension may be outside the project limits, at the discretion of the City Engineer. All extensions shall include time extensions as determined by the City Engineer based on the dollar amount of the extension in relationship to the original Contract time. Total extensions not to exceed one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. All contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under North Carolina State Laws governing their respective trades. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids or to award such contract as in its judgment is deemed to the best interest of the City
