sealed bids from qualified contractors for General Park Maintenance throughout Specified Park District Properties. The project includes, but is not limited to, the following: A.The safe process of mowing, trimming, sidewalk/curb edging, and ground trash pick-up. B.Multi-year contract option A contract is expected to be awarded at the March 15th Park Board meeting. This is not a public works project, which would require payment of prevailing rates of wages for Kane County in accordance with Illinois law. The Owner encourages minority business firms to submit bids for the performance of the Work and the successful bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors and suppliers for labor, equipment, and services. The Batavia Park District reserves the right to reject any and/or all bid proposals or to accept any bid proposal, which in its judgement, will be to the best interest of the public, or to waive any informalities in bidding. Only bid proposals in compliance with the provisions of the Contract Documents will be considered. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date of opening.
