The work to be performed under this contract shall include, but is not limited to the following major items of work: Installation, maintenance and removal of traffic protection devices associated with the vehicular detour proposed for this project Installation, maintenance and removal of soil erosion and sediment control devices as shown on the plans Removal of existing bridge deck via hydro demolition Removal of existing sidewalk, curb, railing, and guide rail where called out on the plans Construction of new concrete bridge deck with sidewalk, curb, and railing Construction of approximately 400 feet of roadway including construction of guide rail elements where called out on the plans The Somerset County Purchasing Division is maintaining Social Distancing; therefore, it is encouraged to Mail in your bid responses in a timely manner via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, etc. If they must be hand-delivered, potential bidders may drop them off at the Main Entrance of the County Administration Building, 20 Grove Street, Somerville, New Jersey 08876 and a Sheriff's Officer will contact the Purchasing Division to receive the responses. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to Somerset County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract.
