IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (Sections of Lisa Terrace, Reimer Street, Lee Way, and Lori Drive) The scope of the project includes approximately 1,400 linear feet of concrete/granite curb, 700 square yards of sidewalk, 10,500 square yards of HMA milling, and 1,700 tons of hot mix asphalt surface course, 550 linear feet of 12" drainage pipe, 12 new drainage structures, replacement inlet castings and related improvements; all in accordance with the form of proposal, contract and specifications prepared by Greenman Pedersen, Inc 301 Gibraltar Drive, Suite 2A, Morris Plains, New Jersey. Bids shall be delivered in sealed envelopes and addressed to Kevin Sluka, Clerk-Administrator, Municipal Office, 25 West End Avenue, Somerville, New Jersey 08876 clearly marked on the outside with the contract name and number, bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to Somerville Borough Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract. Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the proposal received and to accept the bid in which in their judgment will best serve the interest of the Borough. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of PL 1975, Chapter 127.
