**As of April 5, 2022, project was awarded to Schaaf & Associates Construction Inc but awarded amount is not available.** The Iosco Regional Educational Service Agency (IRESA) is soliciting sealed bid proposals for a Contractor to perform parking lot reshaping and paving work at the Alternative Educational Academy (AEA) site located at 40 W. M-55 in Tawas City, MI. The contract will include excavation, base and subbase preparation, hot mixed asphalt (2,495+/- SY), installation of 120+/-LF of storm piping (new underground pipe from two existing roof downspouts), 365+/-SF concrete flatwork (building entrances and dumpster pad), and approximately 48 LF of 6'H screened chain link fencing/gates (at dumpster). The plans and specifications cover all of the work. Bid bonds are required. Payment and performance bonds will be required. Engineered drawings and specifications have been prepared by Russo Engineering, Inc. Davis-Bacon wage rates will not apply. There will be no organized site visit. Deliberation will take place at the next school board meeting after due diligence has been performed on the low bidder(s). Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope marked as, "IRESA AEA Parking Lot Bid". The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, however it is intended to make award of a firm, fixed-price contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based upon the rules outlined in the Bid Form. Construction is intended to commence on/after June 10, 2022 following the end of the school year. The project must be completed within 60 days and no later than August 13, 2022 when staff members return for the next school year. No liquidated damages will be assessed. No construction estimate has been calculated.
