This contract provides for the Rehabilitation of Hill Street from Hwy 96 ROW to Hilltop Street. This contract shall include all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, inspection, testing, and superintendence required for the complete and operable rehabilitation of the proposed project as shown on the contract plans and specifications. This contract includes, but is not limited to the following: Base Bid Items Hill Street. Contractor shall rehabilitate approximately 1785 linear feet of asphalt roadway on various streets by pulverizing the existing roadway to a depth of twelve (6") inches, mixing in lime-flyash per TxDOT Item 265, install 4" crushed limestone or concrete type "D" per TxDOT Item 247, and applying 2" of Type "D" HMAC surfacing per TxDOT Item 340, including driveway and street transitions, removing and resetting mailboxes (as required) and traffic control, all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. Alternate Bid 1 Items Hill Street. Contractor shall rework the existing roadway to a depth of 10" by pulvamixing, lime-flyash treatment (road-mixed) per TxDOT Item 265, compacting, testing, repairing soft spots, proof rolling, sprinkling, reshaping, removing and resetting existing mailboxes, and adjust water valves and manholes, complete in place all in accordance with plans and specifications. Alternate Bid 2 Items Hill Street. Contractor shall install a two-course seal coat including testing, matching intersection transitions, turnout for side streets and driveways, compacting, prime coat, complete in place all in strict accordance with the plans and specifications for The Contractor's attention is called to various physical conditions along the routes as follows. The Contractor shall take precautions to avoid damage to power lines, foundations, guy wires, and appurtenances. The Contractor shall observe all applicable OSHA and owner requirements while working near the overhead power lines including restriction of height of equipment. During construction, the Contractor shall take the necessary precautions to avoid damaging existing utilities within the limits of the project site. There will be NO Pre-Bid held for this project. Bidder shall conduct the required Site visit during normal working hours, and shall not disturb any ongoing operations at the Site. Bidder is not required to conduct any subsurface testing, or exhaustive investigations of Site conditions. Terrain Project No. CF215019
