The Project consists of constructing lift station improvements including wet well extension, access platform, pumps, piping, connection to existing sewer system, electrical controls & transfer switch, demolition of existing lift station pumps & piping, temporary maintenance of sewage flows, and all necessary appurtenances. Bids shall be on a lump sum and/or unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: KSA 211 E. Shepherd Ave., Ste. 205, Lufkin, Texas 75901. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Bidding Documents also may be examined at City Hall during normal business hours . A Pre-Bid Conference will not be conducted Bidders will be allowed to modify or withdraw bids prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. No bid received after the scheduled closing time will be accepted or opened. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least 60 calendar days. he award will be made on the basis of the lowest responsible bid. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding and to reject any or all bids. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the grant recipient's Section 3 Policy is required for contracts and subcontracts in excess of $100,000.00. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the fed Rehabilitation of an existing sanitary sewer lift station including precast concrete wet well, extension, access plat form, demolition of existing life station submersible sewage pumps, piping, connection to existing gravity and force mains, electrical and controls, and all other necessary appurtenances. 2. Contractor shall be required to maintain existing sewer flows through bypass pumping or other Engineer approved method(s) for the duration of time in which existing lift station is removed from service.
