Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Farrell, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This grant is being funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the City of Farrell. The City of Farrell will be undertaking project work activities including the removal and replacement of existing sidewalks, installation of new sidewalks, curbs, and driveway aprons where necessary and complaint with ADA specifications. Uptake and removal of brick base of street, removal of existing base and installation of new surface. Project Limits include Idaho Street - Starting from Beechwood Ave, west to Overlook Ave., Spearman Ave from Idaho Street north to French Street, and Darr Ave., from Idaho Street to French Street. The Engineering Service Contract will be financed by the City of Farrell. Scope of Services: The engineer is required to have experience designing PennDOT funded projects. The scope of work will be those tasks required to design and develop a bid package that meets the criteria in PennDOT Publication No. 9, Policies and Procedures for the Administration of the County Liquid Fuels Tax Act of 1931 and Act 44 of 2007 and Liquid Fuels Tax Act 655 Dated 1965 and as amended. The engineer will be expected to coordinate with PennDOT Municipal Services and City of Farrell to prepare plans, environmental documents, signage, landscaping, specifications, permits, and all other required documents to move the project through letting. Required services may include but are not limited to: Preliminary Plan Engineering design, surveys, project management, administration, scheduling, meetings, field surveys, public involvement, utility coordination, preliminary ROW plans/easements, all permitting, subsurface utilities, specification, and cost estimate preparations.
