Demolition, site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Franconia, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit proposals under the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act of 2002 (the "PPEA"), as amended, from qualified Offerors. In accordance with the PPEA, the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) is seeking a qualified Developer (the "Developer") for affordable multi-family housing to redevelop the County-owned property known as the Franconia Governmental Center Redevelopment Property (the "Property") located at 6121 Franconia Road, Alexandria, Virginia. The Property consists of approximately 3.26 acres and is currently improved with the to be vacated Lee District Supervisor Office, Franconia Police Station, and Franconia Museum. The Property is further described in Appendix B - Overview and Property Description. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. The last day to submit questions is changed to April 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM (EST).
