Bid item Geotextiles and Erosion Control Materials shall be supplying materials that follow MDOT 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction. The Midland County Road Commission will provide necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered, to individuals with disabilities upon 10 days notice to the Road Commission. Meridian Rd, Sanford, MI 48657, 989-687-9060. Geotextile Liner, Non Woven (including Heavy) must meet requirements set forth in MDOT Standard Specification for Construction 2020 section 910. High Strength Woven Polypropylene Fabric must have a wide width tensile strength of 4800 Lbs/ft in both directions per ASTM D 4595. Medium Strength Woven Polypropylene Fabric must have a wide width tensile strength of 2400 Lbs/ft in both directions per ASTM D 4595. Silt Fence Single Net Straw Mulch Blanket High Velocity Straw Mulch Blanket The Road Commission reserves the right to renew the contract for additional one-year terms. Each renewal to be mutually agreed upon by both parties. Pricing, terms, and conditions of the original contract will remain the same for any subsequent one-year renewal period. Negligence on the part of the bidder in preparing the bid confers no rights for the withdrawal of the bid after it has been opened. All bids are due at the date and time listed as Deadline. Results will be tabulated, checked, and awarded at the next scheduled board meeting following the deadline Bid price on the materials shall include the cost of delivery to points designated by the Road Commission. Midland County Road Commission is a sales tax exempt governmental agency, documentation can be provided upon request. Division 1 of the 2020 MDOT Standard Specifications for Constructions shall apply except as modified here-in. The bid price shall include delivery of the materials to MCRC at 2334 N. Meridian Road, Sanford MI 48657.All materials shall meet and/or conform to MDOT 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction OR as modified by any special provisions included in the bid item. Certification slips shall be provided upon request. All construction work performed within the county right-of-way will require appropriate traffic control according to the current Michigan Department of Transportation specifications. The Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids and any part of same, to waive irregularities in the bid procedure and to award, in the opinion of the Board, in the best interest of the Midland County Road Commission.The Midland County Road Commission reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any irregularities in the proposals received and to accept the proposal or parts thereof deemed in their opinion, to be in the best interest of the Midland County Road Commission. The Midland County Road Commission assures all its programs and activities will be free from discrimination, whether those programs and activities are federally funded or not. A Certificate of Insurance will be supplied by the bidders for contractor work naming the Midland County Road Commission, its Commissioners and its employees as additionally insured.
