DIVISION 04 - MASONRY - The intent of this bid request is to obtain an offer to perform work to complete 2022 District Wide Masonry Repairs located throughout Midland Public Schools district for a stipulated sum contract. Caulk all products installed (interior and exterior) by this Contractor, except hollow metal frame. This caulking between the lintel and the block if required. Furnish, install and maintain all shoring and bracing as required. Leave shoring in place until new building systems are in place and then remove as required. Prior to installation of shoring and bracing efforts, provide shop drawings on the proposed shoring and bracing design. A registered engineer in the State of Michigan must seal drawings. Furnish and install all interior and exterior concrete masonry units, above and below grade, bond beams, face brick, pre-cast lintels, glazed concrete masonry units, glass unit masonry, joint materials, dampproofing, waterproofing, insulation, compressible fillers, backer rod, anchors, ties, bearing plates, reinforcing, through-wall flashing and drip edges, building paper, weep holes, premolded expansion strip, exterior and interior caulking and sealant, anchor bolts and other accessories shown or required for a complete product. Bidders will be required to submit with their Bid Proposals a Bid Security, in the amount of 5% of base bid, by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the state where the Project is located.
