Demolition, site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a bridge / tunnel in Schererville, Indiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for outdoor lighting for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

This project shall comply with the Project Labor Agreement as negotiated with the Northwest Indiana Building Trades Council. Bids for the following trade packages are requested: Trade Package #1 - Site Clearing / Demo / Layout / Earthwork and Excavation / Erosion Control / Landscape Trade Package #2 - Site Concrete Trade Package #3 - Asphalt Pavement / Striping / Signage Trade Package #4 - Battered Piles / Concrete Foundations / Pedestrian Bridge / Painting Trade Package #5 - Electrical Bidders submitting proposals for more than one of the trade packages above, must submit separate proposals for each package. All trade packages will be awarded, and contracted with the Town of Merrillville, based on bids received from tier 1 bidders. Award of contracts will be in accordance with Indiana Public Bidding laws. All successful tier one bidders shall be required to provide 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. Construction shall be in full accordance with the Bidding Documents. This submission is required prior to bid submission deadline and the Ordinance is included in the Project Manual. Bid Security - A Bid Bond (or a Cashier's Check or Certified Check) in the amount of ten (10) % of the amount of the Bid, must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner and the Construction Manager reserve their rights to accept or reject any bid (or combination of bids) and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed 60 days before subcontract awards.
