The Town of Schererville Board of Parks and Recreation is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the Community Center Splash Pad Project at Scherwood Park, Work will entail construction of a concrete splash pad with installation of water play spray features, water and drain lines, mechanical enclosure with pad and vault, control panel, distribution manifold with sequencing valves, electrical wiring. Total area size, with 5' apron is 60' x 70'. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to review all enclosed material and drawings and have a clear and thorough understanding of these specifications, scope of work, and provisions required prior to submitting a proposal. All work shall be performed as indicated on the drawings and specifications and include every aspect of work as obvious or implied and necessary to make the project complete and fully operational. It is advisable that interested contractors visit the install location to inspect the existing conditions and to understand the extent of work needed to complete the project. If the contractor finds any conditions on site that would affect the proposal, they should notify the contact person. NOTE: Add'l specifications for mechanical enclosure concrete pad and drain pit shown on drawing shall be 8" granular compacted base w/ 4000 psi concrete, 4" thick concrete w/ #4 rebar 12"o.c. both ways.
