No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the date of opening of bids. A certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. If this contract involves the construction, reconstruction, demolition, painting, or major repair of any facility of the City, Bidder shall provide a ten (10) hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees within 60 Days of award of the contract. Failure to provide training and maintain documentation of the training, may result in penalties under RSMO 292.675. Prevailing wage will not be required on this project as it is classified as a maintenance activity. The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder complying with the Conditions of the Contract Documents within the Owner's budget. The Bidder to whom the awards are made will be notified at the earliest possible date. The Owner; however, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in his interest. The project consists of crack and joint sealing streets as identified in the bidding documents. All equipment, materials and workmanship must be in accordance with the drawings and specifications on file with the Public Works Director, City of Mexico, 300 N. Coal, City of Mexico, Missouri 65265. The work shall consist of the cleaning and sealing of existing joints and cracks in both asphalt and concrete pavements. The City shall determine the extent of pavement joints, both new and existing, and all existing cracks that are to be cleaned and sealed within the limits indicated in the contract.
