It is the policy of the City of Hendersonville to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; 49 CFR, Part 21; Related statutes and regulations to the end that no person shall be excluded from participation in or denied benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Transportation on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin. The proposed work shall be assigned by individual projects. The work assigned to the contractor shall begin within ten (10) days of the notice to proceed and shall be completed within a reasonable time, with no stoppage until complete. The Contractor shall provide a performance bond in an amount equal to the total amount bid. The Contractor shall provide a performance bond in an amount equal to the total amount bid. For the purpose of this contract, all disputes arising from this contract or its interpretation shall be in writing address to the Public Works Director. The Public Works Director's decision shall be final. The City reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.The City of Hendersonville reserves the right to make multiple awards of this contract if it is deemed to be in the best interest if the City.
