Rehabilitate the ARS Field Station Dam, this dam is a single purpose, high hazard, earthfill embankment constructed in 1937 with a drainage area of 14.4 square miles. The dam is not a floodwater retention structure, it is primarily used for irrigation and recreation. The site was reclassified as high hazard and must be rehabilitated to meet current high hazard criteria. The project will consist of boring and jacking a new 30" principal spillway pipe through the existing dam, building a new principal spillway tower, building a roller compacted concrete auxiliary spillway over the top of the existing dam, disposing of and filling in existing concrete auxiliary spillway - and includes clearing and grubbing and disposal of trees, snags, logs, brush, stumps, shrubs, and rubbish from designated areas.
