The project includes the construction of approximately 260 L.F. of new concrete sidewalk, curb ramps, gutter and curbing, and related improvements alone East Main Street to connect existing sidewalks west of Hutton Street and east of Rugby Terrace. Total Bid Price shall be the sum total of all individual unit price bid items and lump sum items. Prospective Bidders may examine and obtain the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Thursday between the hours of 7:30 am - 5:30 pm and Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Prospective Bidders may also examine copies of the Bidding Documents provided by the Issuing Office at the locations identified below.
The Town of Abingdon Street Department - 299 Kings Mountain Drive, Abingdon, Virginia 24210 Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to The Lane Group, Inc. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder.
The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged; however, is not mandatory. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
