1 This work category is responsible for removal of asbestos-containing materials. 2 The Asbestos Abatement Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for performance of the work. In addition, the Asbestos Abatement Contractor shall be responsible for retaining all permits and/or notifications required for performance of the work and pay for all fees associated with such permits and notifications. The Asbestos Abatement Contractor shall remove and dispose of all asbestos containing materials in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. 3 All work shall be performed by a Michigan licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor and all material shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations pertaining to asbestos abatement. 4 The Asbestos Abatement Contractor shall be responsible for verifying all quantity estimates in preparation of their bid price. 5 Maintain phasing schedule as outlined by the Owner and their consultants. Phasing schedule is included as part of this bid package. 6 Multiple set ups will be required per the schedule and phasing drawings. 7 Include an allowance of $20,000 for air monitoring.
