**As of April 4 2022, bids were over the budget. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Town of New Castle P.O. Box 90 New Castle, CO 81647 (970) 984-2311 Project is the construction of a pedestrian bridge across the Colorado River from Nutrient Farms on the south side to a CDOT out parcel on the north side. It also includes rockfall protection and earth removal on Tibbets Point near the east end of Garfield County Road 335. This project consists of constructing portions of a 8'gravel trail & a pedestrian bridge over the Colorado River This project consists of constructing at rail to subgrade with adjacent drainage work along the south side of the Colorado River at Tibbets Point, and providing CDOT Type 7ConcreteBarrier. 1. Construction of pedestrian bridge within the corridor and connecting trail. Includes existing items removal, minor drainage improvements, coordination and, construction of embankment, road bases, concrete items, pre-fabricated bridges, signage and fencing. 2. The safe and efficient handling of vehicular and pedestrian traffic in and around the construction site. 3. Communication with the public throughout the project.
