Renovation of a municipal facility in Silt, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Part of the scope of this project is to raise the tank 2 feet. To raise the roof to accommodate a higher overflow elevation, the existing roof and structure will need to be removed and replaced. New rafters will be connected to the shell via new rafter clips. The 2-foot raise will include new 2-foot-high shell ring, eave angle, center column pole, center cone, and rafters. Using AWWA D100-21, section 3 design criteria, the existing ring steel is thick enough to accommodate the rise of 2 feet.
