Pierce County seeks the services of qualified general contractors with expertise in all phases of construction as required to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, incidentals, superintendents, subcontractor coordination and overhead to perform a variety of facility modification projects and other construction projects in court facilities, general office buildings, and correctional facilities, throughout Pierce County. PRE-BID QUESTIONS: All questions must be submitted within the Pierce County ProcureWare software, under the Clarifications Tab not later than 4:00 PM, Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Bidders must be registered in the ProcureWare software in order to submit questions. Instructions for Pierce County ProcureWare registration. Oral explanations, interpretations, or instructions given by anyone before award of a contract will not be binding on the County COMPLETION TIME: The successful bidder will be required to complete all basic bid work within 2 calendar years of Notice to Proceed. Once a project specific contract (Purchase Order) has been awarded, the contract will continue until the project has been completed, regardless of contract term. PROJECT ESTIMATE: Not to Exceed $350,000, to include WSST. BID NOTICES: 5% Retainage will be held for the full contract period; Contract Bond will be required for the full amount of the contract. Bid security is not required for Small Works Projects.
