Site work for a swimming pool in Mason City, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a swimming pool.
Generally, the work includes demolition of the existing wading pool and installation of a new Splash Pad in the same location. Construction is scheduled to commence promptly upon Board approval in March 2022 and must be completed by May 27, 2022. Bids shall include: 1. Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate two (2) copies. 2. Bid Deposit in the amount of 10% of Bid. 3. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s-1 et. seq. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act". Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782-6206. All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 ofArticle 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is located in the Bid Form, Section 00 30 00, ofthis Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of Bid, made payable to the Mason City Park District. Failure of Bidders to submit bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the bid shall be cause for rejection ofbid. Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Mason City Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids without written consent of the Owner.
