Renovation of a municipal facility in Hastings, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: Renovation of a 49,900 square foot municipal facility. As of April 7, 2022, a general contractor has not yet been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. The Adams County Justice Center is located on an 11.2 acre green-field site south of Hastings NE at the intersection of West M Street and South Baltimore Avenue. The facility encompasses the following: Jail Intake, Jail Housing, Video Arraignment, Video Visitation, and support services. The facility is a 49,900 square foot slab on grade building with both a single story jail pod and a mezzanine style jail. The structure is a combination of load-bearing precast concrete wall panels (with limited thin-brick veneer), hollow core roof planks, load bearing CMU walls, and steel framing. Interior partitions are a mix of solid precast panels, CMU, and stud walls. Jail housing is comprised of 154 beds distributed across a Minimum/Medium Security pod, a Maximum Security pod, and work release dorms. Jail housing is comprised of both single and double occupant prefabricated steel cells. The OWNER reserves the righ. waive any informality, or to accept or to reject any a all bids.
