CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 2/22/2022 3:00 PM Montgomery County Community College will accept sealed proposals online for the College Wide Ventilation Phase 3, Project #14 FY21/22 lump sum bid is requested for each of the following separate contracts. HVAC Project Description: Work will take place in four separate buildings at Blue Bell Campus. 1. Facilities Maintenance Building: a. Addition of bipolar ionization devices to the (1) air handler serving the building. BPI devices will be placed in the supply air ductwork. 2. East House a. Addition of bipolar ionization devices to the (1) rooftop unit and (3) air handlers. BPI devices will be placed in the supply air ductwork. 3. Fine Arts Center a. Addition of bipolar ionization devices to the (15) air handlers serving the building. BPI devices will be placed in the supply air ductwork. 4. Veteran Center a. Addition of bipolar ionization devices to system. BPI devices will be placed in the supply air ductwork. b. Addition of split DX air handler with energy recovery. c. Electrical upgrades to accommodate air handler, condenser, BPI devices and energy recovery unit as required. Due to the possible inaccuracies in documents procured from other sources, and the potential for an incomplete understanding of the project scope of work, bids submitted by firms who procure these documents from any other source but the authorized source will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. All Contracts for the Project will be subject to the Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Owner respectfully requires that all persons who attend the Pre-Bid Walk Thru / Conference shall wear a face covering that covers their mouth and nose, and that social distancing of 6 ft. or more between persons shall be observed at all times. The Owner will provide hand sanitizer dispensers at critical locations during the meeting for the bidders use. Contractors are encouraged to limit the number of participants to one person per company. Participants are encouraged to use technology during the walk-thru to share information. The number of people allowed in the building at one time will be limited and we will do our best to get everyone in to see the building. After the Bid openings, Bids may be withdrawn only by strictly complying with the "Modifications and Withdrawal" article of the Instructions to Bidders (Document 00.2113). The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof or items therein and to waive informalities and/or technicalities as it deems best to protect its interests. The goal participation ranges for this project are: women-owned businesses five percent (5%) to ten percent (10%); minority-owned businesses five percent (5%) to ten percent (10%); other diverse and/or disadvantaged businesses five percent (5%) to ten percent (10%); and local businesses best and good faith efforts. **The electrical bid results are representative of the electrical base bid amounts.
