The Board assumes no responsibility for proposals mismailed or misdirected. Upon release of this Bid, all Contractors communications concerning this information request must be directed in writing no later than 3:00 p.m. on February 25, 2022 to the Director of Buildings & Grounds. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening thereof. All bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., Affirmative Action Against Discrimination and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor Questionnaire/Certification also must be filed with the bid. The bid package will also include other documents that must be completed and returned with the bid. Failure to comply with Instructions to Bidders and to complete and submit all required forms may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid. All bidders shall submit with their bid package a copy of the New Jersey Business Registration Certificate as issued by the Department of Treasury of the State of New Jersey. (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44) Quantities are estimates and the Board Reserves the right to increase quantities by 20% or decrease quantities by 100%. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-2(s), (t), (x), (y), 18A:18A-4(a), 18A:18A-22, and to waive any informalities. The Board further reserves the right to take such alternates as they deem appropriate and in any order that the Board feels may be in the best interest of the Howell Township Public School District. The purpose of this meeting is to review the legal and technical requirements of the bid proposal. While attendance is not mandatory, prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend this important meeting. Full attendance in both locations is Strongly Recommended. Addenda to this bid proposal may be issued as a result of the pre-bid meeting Howell Township Public Schools is looking to receive design, equipment, and installation quotes to renovate and update their two Middle Schools Food and Beverage Service lines; Middle School North located at 501 Squankum-Yellowbrook Road, Farmingdale, NJ 07727 and Middle School South located at 220 Ramtown-Greenville Road, Howell, NJ 07731. Middle School North's enrollment is 1129 and current meal volume participation is 90%. Middle School South's enrollment is 823 and current meal and volume participation is 85%. Middle School North- i. Renovation and Refurbishment of approximately 65 feet of interior countertop and service area. Inclusive of stainless-steel NSF approved countertop and the fabrication for drop in equipment, heating and cooling elements, and approved sneeze guards. Contractor will be responsible for the transportation and delivery of all items, their uncrating, installation, set-up, and full functionality of equipment. ii. The contractor is responsible for the layout design and utility schematic for design based on inspection and measurement. The contractor can optionally bid the plumbing, electrical and general construction work. Contractor will provide all necessary design and sealed license permit applications. The school district will secure Municipal UCC Code permits. iii. HVAC and Tele-data services are not included. Inclusive of stainless-steel NSF approved countertop and the fabrication for drop in equipment, heating and cooling elements. Contractor will be responsible for the transportation and delivery of all items, their uncrating, installation, set-up, and full functionality of equipment. Middle School North- Functionality for Hot and Cold service from lines to guests. Stainless steel tray slide or countertop that accepts standard student trays or plates. Ability to adequately market frontage of equipment that is guest facing with decals or wraps. Middle School South
