Project no- 21-303 The project will consist of the installation of approximately 1,150 feet of 27 sanitary sewer pipe, approximately 25,000 feet of 16 force main pipe installed by open trench and horizontal directional drilling, and approximately 2,000 feet of 24 and 30 sanitary sewer pipe. The sewer and force main route will generally start at the Citys existing Lagoon Lift Station near Heritage Parkway, extend east and then north along Sundowner Avenue to 69th Street, and then east to the I-29. Associated work will include topsoil and subgrade earthwork removal, placement of sanitary sewer and force main pipe and appurtenances (manholes), backfilling the excavated sewer trench, and surface restoration/topsoil replacement as detailed and shown in the Contract Documents. Pre-Bid Meeting Info: No Pre-Bid Meeting is Scheduled. The project will also consist of the construction of a new sanitary pump station on the south side of the Citys lagoons. The pump station will be submersible style with below grade cast-in-place concrete splitter structure and divided wet well, standby generator, above grade building for housing the pump controls, discharge piping, valves, and meters and site work as detailed and shown in the Contract Documents. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or draft in the amount of 5% of the base bid and all add alternates and drawn on a State or National Bank or a 10% bid bond issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota and made payable to the City of Tea. The Bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a construction performance bond and a construction payment bond to the owner in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract award for each bond. The construction performance bond and construction payment bond shall remain in full force until the completion of the Contract. The City of Tea reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities, and make award(s) as deemed to be in the best interest of Tea, SD.
