Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified or bank check, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of portal. 408, made payable to Lower Macungie Township, in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid price. The successful bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds each in an amount equal to the Contract Price and meeting portal. 408, Section 103.04 requirements. Bidders must be portal prequalified per portal. 408, Section 102. This project is considered maintenance and is not subject to the terms and conditions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, as determined by the Secretary of Labor and Industry, and is to be bid as such. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Contract will generally include the placement of an Ultra-Thin Bonded Wearing Course (Type B) along eight Township roadways (32,818 SY). The Contract will also include the removal of all pavement markings and 350 SY of variable depth milling.
