The Town of Millbury is soliciting bids for Improvements to Millbury Downtown Phase 2, including construction of concrete sidewalks, roadway paving, green infrastructure improvements such as rain gardens, bioswales, and porous pavers, downtown plaza areas including benches, pathways, lighting, and other site amenities Any request for interpretation of plans and specifications may be submitted in writing at that time. Bidders will have an opportunity to view the site of the work following the Prebid Conference. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Town is required in the amount of 5% of the bid. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the bid. All bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended and to the minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H inclusive. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to obtain Prevailing Wage Rates.Copies may also be shipped to prospective bidders for an additional charge to cover handling and mailing fees The Town of Millbury reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject bids, wholly or in part, and to award the contract as is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Millbury. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid is good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 business days after opening of bids.
