There are two wastewater treatment sites that both include the retrofitting of the existing lagoon cells with an upgraded aerated lagoon system followed by the installation of submerged, fixed-film media reactors. The reactors consist of a clean gravel bed that provides surface area for nitrifying bacteria to grow and populate. An ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system on each of the discharge lines will also be installed to inoculate E.coli prior to final discharge. Work also includes structures, grading, utilities, controls, seeding, maintenance and compliance with a stormwater pollution protection plan, and all other miscellaneous work required to complete the project in accordance with plans and specifications. The project includes the sludge dredging of all cells with appropriate disposal, and the decommissioning of one cell. This project also includes North site access upgrades to provide a wide enough roadway that allows truck access to the North wastewater treatment site. Also includes all other miscellaneous work to complete this section in accordance with plans and specifications. If the plans and specifications are not returned within fourteen days after award of the project and in a reusable condition, the deposit shall be forfeited.
