Work is generally to include installation only of approximately 11,960 linear feet of 4" PVC Force Main Sewer with Duplex Submersible Pump Station (which includes a concrete wet well (WW) and valve vault) and 1 manhole (MH) and connection pipe to be constructed at the AppHarvest Plant Site Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Bidding Documents may be examined at: Northern Madison Co. (859-685-4525 bmcgregor@nei-ky.com) in writing no later than 5:00 pm on 02/17/2022. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, Non segregated facilities order 32FR 7439, and the Contract Work Hours Standard Act. This project will follow, and bidders must comply with Executive Order No. 11246 (EEO) as amended, prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex or national origin. Contractors/subcontractors will comply with 41 CFR 60-4, (affirmative action), to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goal set forth in 41 CFR 60-4. This contract is NOT subject to federal nor state wage rates. This project is funded with a Cleaner Water Program Grant and local funds This project will NOT subject to DOW Procurement Guidance including the American Iron & Steel and Davis-Bacon Act. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bid award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. All bidders shall submit with their bid an acceptable bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the Owner. The Bidder awarded the contract shall complete this project within 90 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $750 per calendar day. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
