Peak period bus priority lanes on Roscoe Bl west of SR170 to Topanga Canyon where peak period parking restrictions exist today (no lanes on Roscoe at I-405) to be implemented by 2024, with up to 82 bus bulbs at key locations to improve speed and reliability of buses by keeping them in the lane of traffic, with implementation between 2025 and 2027.
Transit signal priority on seven corridors (Roscoe, Lankershim, Sherman Way, Victory, Vanowen, Nordhoff, Reseda) to reduce any delay for buses at intersections to begin implementation by 2025. Per the owner, as of August 2, 2024, they are coordinating with LA DOT and their contractors for the work. The owner states that installation of bus lanes on Roscoe Blvd. began a few weeks ago and should be completed in the fall of 2024. The owner states that additional improvements in the North San Fernando Valley will continue through 2026.
