Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Kent, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a detention facility; municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of the following work at the existing site of the Citv of Kent Corrections Facility. " oRemove and dispose of the existing corrections facility roof mounted generator, existing ground mounted fuel tank and designated sidewalks. oInstallation of a new generator, generator enclosure, providing back-up power (underground fed) to both the corrections facility and the courthouse, and replacing the sidewalks. Should a contract be executed, it is the contractor's responsibility to comply with all COVID-19 workplace health and safety measures established by the state Department of Labor & Industries or otherwise imposed by the Governor, the state Department of Health, or the Local Health Officer of Seattle-King County Public Health, or subsequent modifications to such health and safety measures as those authorities may issue, including providing all needed personal protective equipment. Apprentice Utilization Requirements are mandatory for all public works expected to cost one million dollars or more, m which case no less than 15% ofthe labor hours must be performed by apprentices. KCC 6.01.030. A cashier's check, cash or surety bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must be included w ith t he bid. The City of Kent reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any or all schedules or alternates or to waive any informalities in the bidding and shall determine which bid or bidders is the most responsive, satisfactory and responsible bidder and shall be the sole judge thereof. Note: The award of the contract will not occur until the City of Kent has reviewed all bids for responsiveness and responsibility determinations and the Kent City Council has formally awarded the contract. No bidder may withdraw his/ her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the day of bid opening.
