For South 240th Street and Russell Road TIB Sidewalk Improvements The City Clerk will read the bids out loud from the Clerks office. Individuals can stand in the lobby outside the Clerks office during the bid opening to hear the bid results. The project consists of three segments of sidewalk, totaling 1,400 square yards of sidewalk and ~850 square yards of reinforced concrete driveway. The existing drainage ditch along 240th St. will be filled to construct a 450 stretch of bike lane, sidewalk and planter strip next to the Kent Public Works Operations building. On the east side of Russell Rd along the 950 Hogan Park frontage the existing roadway shoulder will be widened to accommodate a bike lane on the east side of Russell Rd. and 870 of sidewalk will be constructed on the west side of the Hogan Park drainage ditch, which will remain as is. At the middle entrance of Hogan Park a raised crosswalk will be constructed. South of Hogan Park on the east side of Russell Rd. the drainage ditch will be filled to construct a 650 long shared use path/sidewalk connecting Hogan Park to Meeker St. This segment of the sidewalk will include pedestrian scale lighting and street trees. Speed cushions will be installed on Russell Rd. and 240th St. The Hogan Park parking lot will be overlayed with 2 of HMA.
