A timeline for award has not yet been established The Orange County Water District is currently accepting bids for the 2022 Shallow Aquifer Monitoring Well Construction, Contract No. GBM-2022-1. The Project generally consists of drilling, construction, and development of two Shallow Aquifer monitoring wells located in the cities of Irvine (OCWD-M60) and Orange (OM-10). Monitoring well number OCWD-M60 shall be constructed using hollow stem auger drilling equipment. The maximum 8.25-inch diameter borehole shall be drilled to an anticipated depth of 120 feet bgs. The anticipated total depth of the 2-inch diameter PVC well casing is 105 feet bgs. Monitoring well number OM-10 shall be constructed using air rotary casing hammer drilling equipment. The maximum 7.625-inch diameter borehole shall be drilled to an anticipated depth of 180 feet below ground surface (bgs). The anticipated total depth of the 2-inch diameter PVC well casing is 165 feet bgs.
