Renovation of a fire / police facility in York, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 9,800-square-foot fire / police facility.
As of November 9 2023, the project has been awarded, however, information regarding the awarded general contractor and a timeline for construction have not been confirmed. Renovations to the Rex-Laurel Fire Station Bids will be received for the following contract(s): General Construction Plumbing/Fire Suppression Construction HVAC Construction Electrical Construction The project is to renovate the existing Fire Station which is approximately 9,800 SF. Laurel (south) side built in 1878. Rex (north) side built in 1892. Fire Station is on National Register of Historic Places since 1976 and is one of the oldest continuously operating fire stations in the U.S. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, which must be paid to workmen employed on this project, are incorporated in the Contract Documents.
