The Project consists of approximately 1,889 linear feet of 4-inch waterline, 2,666 linear feet of 2-inch waterline, 855 linear feet of 1- inch waterline, 1,865 linear feet of 3/4 - inch waterline, 36 service reconnections, and associated appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the Presidents Executive Order # 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the Presidents Executive Orders # 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act; the Presidents Executive Order #13658 regarding minimum wages on federal funded contracts. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. Contractors have the option to purchase an electronic set of bidding documents (Adobe PDF Format) for a $50.00 non-refundable fee. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to The Lane Group, Inc. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders There may be existing utilities in potential conflict with this work including underground telephone line, television, and electrical. The Contractor is responsible to verify the location of the underground utilities prior to construction and advise the Engineer if adjustments in the location of the water lines should be made
