PUBLIC NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID The Sycamore Park District is accepting bids for the following project: SYCAMORE GOLF COURSE BRIDGE 1 REPLACEMENT SYCAMORE, IL The proposed work is located at the Sycamore Golf Course, south of IL 64 (E State St.) in Sycamore, IL (PIN 06-33-376-002). The work is for the replacement of the first pedestrian bridge south of IL 64 (E State St.) over the South Branch of the Kishwaukee River. The project consists of the provision of materials, labor, and equipment necessary to fabricate, furnish, and install the improvements as shown on the Final Engineering Plans and as described in the specifications. Major work elements include installing a prefabricated bridge approximately 20 feet south of the existing bridge, relocating irrigation and communication lines across the river, removing and replacing bituminous cart paths, excavating compensatory storage areas, removing the existing bridge and piers, and restoring the site with native seed. The existing bridge will remain in use until the construction of the new bridge is complete. No oral proposals or modifications will be considered. No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hour set for the opening thereof, or before award of the contract, unless said award is delayed for a period of exceeding ninety (90) calendar days.
