Beachwood City School District Fairmount Roofing Project - The Beachwood City School District is seeking proposals from qualified roofing contractors for the removal and replacement of a shingle roof at 24601 Fairmount Blvd. Beachwood, OH 44122. Removal and Replacement of Shingle Roofing at Fairmount Early Childhood Center/Beachwood Board of Education 1. Acquire and pay for all permits and applicable fees 2. Protection of building property including but not limited to; building, landscaping, lawns, shrubs, trees, bushes, sidewalks, drives 3. Removal of existing shingle roofing system down to structural decking 4. Hauling and disposal of existing shingle roofing system 5. Inspection of structural decking including removal and replacement per unit price provided in the proposal 6. Resecure any loose decking 7. Furnish and install 6' of ice and water shield along all eaves, rake edges, overhangs, valleys, penetrations, skylights, roof/wall intersections, and any other locations required per code 8. Furnish and install new pipe boot flashings 9. Furnish and install new right angle flashing kit for HVAC Penetrations 10. Paint static vents and vent pipes to match shingle color 11. Base Bid - Reuse skylights and existing flashing kits 12. Furnish and install new synthetic underlayment in lieu of felt paper 13. Furnish and install new drip edge on rakes and eaves 14. Furnish and install new starter shingles on rakes and eaves 15. Furnish and install new dimensional shingles per manufacturer's specifications (Owens Corning Duration is the basis of design). Color to be selected by Beachwood City School District 16. Furnish new ridge vent specified by shingle manufacture and install per manufacturer's specifications 17. Furnish and install new pre-cut ridge cap on all ridges and hips per manufacturer specifications 18. Clean gutters and remove and dispose of any debris 19. Furnish and install gutter joint sealant on all gutter seams 20. Clean area of work on a daily basis, including, but not limited to, running magnets multiple times daily to locate any lost nails The final completion of the Project must occur no later than July 15, 2022. The Work may commence on April 1, 2022, and shall include all labor and materials as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders. The estimated cost of the Work for the Project is $200,000.
