Renovation of an educational facility in East Moline, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Owner reserves the right to accept Bidder's Base Bid, accept any one or more of the Bidder's Alternate Bid's, reject any or all Bids, award contract based on its investigation of the Bidder's, as well as acceptance of Alternates all of which the Owner deems to be in its best interest and waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the Bids and waive minor irregularities in the bidding procedure, all at the Owner's discretion. No bids will be withdrawn for at least sixty (60) days from the date of receipt of bids. A certified check, a cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and bond within ten days after the award of contract. This project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Also, all Contractors must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates as established by the Davis-Bacon Act (40-U.S.C. 327 et seq.) for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract. All contractors, subcontractors, and those supplying labor to this project shall comply with the "Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act" (30 ILCS 570/) commonly referred to as the Illinois Preference Act.
