Site work and paving for a road / highway in Pellston, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of April 5 the project was awarded to RIETH-RILEY CONSTRUCTION CO INC for $1,248,442.83. Upgrade to federal-aid standards on the following road in Carp Lake Township: - Levering Road, from Pleasantview Road to U.S.31 for a total of 4.42 miles This project is funded using the federal-aid buyout option using State funds. The project does not require Davis Bacon Wages but needs to be built to federal-aid standards. The existing road consists of a 22' - 24' wide chip seal surface and gravel shoulder varies. The proposed finished road is to be 26' asphalt pavement with 11' lanes and 2' paved shoulders and a minimum of 2' gravel shoulder beyond the pavement. See the attached plans and specifications. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities in the bid procedure, and to award in the best interest of the Road Commission. No contractual relationship shall exist between the undersigned and the Board for the work described herein until such a time as the full contract documents have been formally executed by both the contractor and the Board.
