Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Hartford City, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Project consist of renovations of multiple areas within the existing high school building, including demolition, floor patching, general trades, interior/exterior doors/hardware, specialties, cabinetry, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and low-voltage work. Project replaces and upgrades the building generator and emergency power distribution. Construction of a new greenhouse at a new location on the property Bidders will be required to file, with their bids, a certified check made payable to Blackford County Schools or a Bid Bond for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of their maximum bid or bids. Should a successful bidder withdraw its bid, or fail to execute a satisfactory Contract, Blackford County Schools may then declare the bid deposit or bid bond to be forfeited as liquidated damages. The bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty for not less than 5% of the amount of the bid. Bidders may submit either a certified or cashier's check, or a bid bond attached to the bid form and executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety company payable to the Owner. No bid will be considered unless it is so guaranteed. Cash deposits will not be accepted. In the event the bidder withdraws the bid or fails to execute a satisfactory Contract and furnish a satisfactory Contract Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond with a surety company in accordance with Article 11.5 of the General Conditions and Supplementary Conditions, for 100% of the contract amount within ten (10) days after a contract has been awarded to such a bidder by the Owner, said Owner may declare such certified or cashier's check or bid bond forfeited to the Owner for extra costs incurred by reason of delay of the project and obtaining acceptable prices from another bidder. Each successful bidder shall be required to furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond which cover faithful performance of the contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder. A Maintenance Bond shall also be required. Said bonds shall remain in full force and effect for twelve months from the substantial completion of the Work.
