Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Plymouth, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a 150,000-square-foot educational facility.
Washington County Schools Project Title New PK-12 School Services Construction Manager at Risk Scope The scope of the work is a one story school to house grades PK-12. The building will be located on the site of the old Pines Elementary School. The project will be funded in phases with ballfields, a second gym and a variety of smaller spaces being in phase two. Construction is expected to start in July or August 2022. The building will be a high-performance facility that will reduce operating expenses over time. The building is expected to generate more electricity than it consumes. Licensing Statement To offer construction management services in response to this solicitation, the proposing firm must be properly licensed to practice as a General Contractor in the State of North Carolina. NC Licensing Board for General Contractors: website. In selecting CMAR, the selection committee should take into consideration qualification information including such factors as: Specialized or appropriate expertise in the type of project. Past performance on similar projects. Adequate staff for the project. Current workload and State projects awarded. Proposed construction approach for the project. Recent experience with project costs and schedules. Construction Management capabilities. Proximity to and familiarity with the area where the project is located. Record of successfully completed projects without major legal or technical problems. Quality of compliance plan for minority business participation as required by N.C.G.S. 143-128.2 Other factors which may be appropriate for the project. Proposing firms must submit Five (5) complete hard copies of the Statement of Qualifications and One (1) electronic copy on USB drive. Detailed information on the submittal requirements is indicated in the attached RFQ.
