The City of Castlegar is inviting proposals for a comprehensive review and update to its Official Community Plan (OCP) and Zoning Bylaw. This includes bringing the objectives and policies into alignment with recently adopted strategic plans and ensuring alignment between policy objectives and the land use regulatory framework. Broad categories include but are not limited to climate mitigation and adaptation, residential lands and housing, economy and jobs, health and social equity, local food and natural areas, and local infrastructure and services. It will also include the comprehensive review of the City's Development Permit Areas. An inclusive, flexible, and innovative stakeholder and community engagement strategy is required.
