Site work and paving for a road / highway in Redmond, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The City of Redmond (Redmond, City) is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms under this Request for Proposals (RFP) for design, property rights acquisition, and for optional construction services (construction engineering, consultant inspection, etc.) for the construction of the NE 70th Street Extension. This project will generally extend NE 70th Street from its current terminus at Redmond Way east to 180th Avenue NE. Work for the successful consultant/team will include items such as preparation of design reports, permits, plans, specifications, estimates; right of way/property rights coordination and acquisition; outreach; and perform construction engineering and management services. The initial consultant agreement will be for design and property rights services and will include the City's ability to continue work with the consultant under future phase(s), including the construction phase. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation Participation for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) or Small Business Enterprises (SBE) is encouraged. In keeping with Federal goals, a voluntary SBE goal amount of ten percent of the Consultant Agreement is established. The Consultant shall submit a SBE Participation Plan with their proposal. Although the goal is voluntary, the outreach efforts to provide SBE maximum practicable opportunities are not. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
