The City of Redmond (Redmond or the City) is soliciting interest from consulting firms for design and construction services. The mission is the design and construction of Pavement Management-Avondale Rd (UHR to 90th) Project. The successful consultant/team will prepare design report, permits, plans, specifications, estimates. Avondale Road primarily consists of an asphalt roadway surface between approximately 150ft North of Union Hill Rd and NE 90th St. The roadway generally consists of 4 vehicle lanes and bicycle lanes on both sides. The asphalt has aged to varying degrees of deterioration and needs rehabilitation. Several American Disabilities Act (ADA) curb-ramps and associated Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) will require upgrade to current ADA standards. Avondale Rd. bridge is located on the south end of the project. Questions regarding this project or solicitation must be submitted to Adnan Shabir at ashabir@redmond.gov or 425 556 2776. Answers to questions submitted by March 2, at 4:00 p.m. will be posted on March 7, 2021, by 4:00 p.m. Answers to questions submitted by March 9, at 4:00 p.m. will be posted on March 14, 2021, by 4:00 p.m. Questions submitted after the March 9, 2021, 4:00 p.m. deadline will not be answered. The project is funded through City Transportation CIP funds and Federal Aid Funds for both design and construction. Design obligation for the grant is June 1, 2022, with construction obligation deadline of June 1, 2023. This project is Federally funded and has a 16% DBE participation goal.
