Calhoun County/Jackson County is seeking bids for sodium chloride for use by the Road Department for ice control on County roads for the winter season of 2022 & 2023. Bids are requested for delivery of salt to Road Department locations for on-site storage and an alternate bid is requested to supply salt to be picked up by the Road Department from the awarded supplier. The length of the proposed contract will be for a one-year term, commencing upon award. Bid prices shall remain firm during the term of this agreement. Questions are due by Tuesday, February 22, 2022 @ 5:00 PM. County replies to questions submitted by Vendors will be published by Thursday, February 24, 2022 @ 5:00 p.m. The Counties reserve the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities and irregularities in proposals or proposal procedures, and to accept any proposal determined by the Counties to be in the best interests of the Counties, even though not the lowest proposal.
