Request for Proposals Santa Clara Pueblo Forestry Department NRCS Voluntary Public Access-Habitat Incentive Program Summary: Santa Clara Pueblo Forestry Department is soliciting for design, and/or design-build services from qualified firms or individuals to provide services including: Design of roadway, creek channel, ponds, and public access; and/or Construction Oversight; and/or 404 permitting - for the NRCS Voluntary Public Access Habitat Incentive Program (VPA-HIP) project in Santa Clara Canyon. Work will be performed on tribal land. Contractors must be licensed for construction in their home state, not necessarily New Mexico. Description of Work: Design and construction projects include multiple project areas. Bidders may submit for one, or any number of the project areas. Projects include roadway, embankment, and creek crossing upgrades; creek restoration; developing off-channel ponds as conservation trials; irrigation diversion structures; fish passage/barrier integration, recreation access, and 404 permitting. Nature-based solutions and the integration of available natural materials are integral to this project. The project must also consider environmental and cultural impacts. Schedule: Design will occur March to May, 2022. Completion dates are subject to change due to COVID-19 pandemic. Construction is anticipated from May 2022 through October 2023. Construction solicitation will occur following design completion if construction services are not acquired during this round of solicitation.
