If the city plans to move forward with the develop, a new RFP would be solicitated. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of St. Helens is seeking a private developer to partner with the City in the redevelopment of a City-owned 25-acre waterfront property adjacent to downtown St. Helens, Oregon. The property's unique waterfront location, mountain views, and proximity to downtown create a rare opportunity to bring mixed-use development to St. Helens. The City has acquired the funding for construction of public infrastructure to prepare the site for redevelopment. The St. Helens Middle School completed a full rebuild in 2020, and the St. Helens High School is in the process of major re-model, which is being funded with a $55 million bond. It is expected to be completed in the next four years. The City is also working on design and construction of a new Public Safety Facility to replace the existing St. Helens Police Station.
